Hi there!

We are a software developer and we work with various development environments that we need to manage. We are based in VMWare in production, but that doesn't mean we need a VMWare specific solution for this.

What we need is the tools to allow us to track who is working with what virutal image and where. Right now some users work on development ESXi boxes and some pull images to their desktops. We need to keep track of those. Bonus would be knowing where they are so we can ensure they are backed up. We have about 90 users, some of whom work from a remote office. So we need a solution that accomodate that. A VMWare branded solution is not neccessary.

Also going to post this in the MS section.
