In March, CIO magazine published an article outlining 6 server virtualization management myths. In the article, the author indicated that there are multiple hypervisors in place even in companies that believe they're running just one. Further, the author mentions that virtualization ROI will eventually drop off, which makes sense but he indicates that other costs might increase to support the new infrastructure and that these costs have to be explained.

He goes on to explain that virtualization simply changes existing license and management tasks -- it doesn't eliminate them.

Read the article. It's very good and provide some excellent food for thought. Do you agree with everything he's saying?
