Hello Today I have installed upgrade-from-esxi4.0-4.0_update02 https://hostupdate.vmware.com/software/VUM/OFFLINE/release-220-20100607-616927/upgrade-from-esxi4.0-4.0_update02.zip after installing the path my server is shutting down abruptly and then it will take couple of failed tries to start. Is this some kind of bug? TIA, Mac

Mac, You probably already know this, but VMware today released vSphere 4.1, a new version that may (or may not!) correct the issue you're having. If I were in a similar situation, I'd consider moving to 4.1 before continuing further 4.0u2 troubleshooting efforts. Scott

Scott, Thanks foryour reply. I did go back to original version. Only bad thing I could not restore my test VM's may be I dont no how to restore. Now I am back up and running. Thanks Mac
