If you have corrupt VHD file and you to want to repair it, you should use VHD tool. It's a freeware utility provided by
Microsoft. You can also try a couple of easy manual tricks to fix corrupt VHD files, such as:

1. Run a script on Windows PowerShell that will help you mount the VHD file in the root folder, and then you can run a
CHKDSK on it.

2. Create a new Virtual Machine, add the corrupt Virtual disk file to it and then compact it.
