JustinC71 -> Failover storage vmknic on separate dvSwitch? (25.Oct.2010 2:59:40 PM)

I currently have 4 ESXi 4.1 hosts in this cluster. Management connection is a local vSwitch (vSwitch0) with 2 1GB uplinks. VMs live on dvSwitch0 which has multiple 1Gb uplinks per host, storage connectivity is configured on dvSwitch1 which has a single 10GbE uplink per host. All connectivity is vLAN based, the only ports not trunked are the Management connections. I've been asked by this client to create a failover vmknic in the storage vLAN on dvSwitch0. My preference is to just move a couple of the 1Gb uplinks to dvSwitch1 and configure them as standby uplinks....but their team deisgned it to have two vmknics on separate vswitches. Is there a way to create second vmknic in the storage vLAN on another dvSwitch and tell ESXi to 'prefer' the vmknic with the 10GbE uplink over the other?
