At VMworld 2012, VMware announced the death of vRAM, the controversial licensing scheme that the company put into place last year. Although VMware indicated that only a few customers would be affected, the issue overshadowed many of the technical improvements made in vSphere 5.

Realizing the error of their ways... and probably wanting to keep Microsoft from beating them over the head with it, VMware has killed vRAM and returned to a licensing scheme based solely on physical processor count.

What, if anything, does this mean to you? Were you affected at all by vRAM>
